- Measure ferrous (magnetic) and non-ferrous (non-magnetic) surfaces.
- Measurable ferrous thickness: 0-80 thousand / 0-2000μm.
- Non-ferrous measurable thickness: 0-40mil / 0-1000μm.
- Accuracy value in the display: 0.1mils / 1μm.
HOW TO USE
The device turns on automatically when you place the instrument on a measurable surface. It is not necessary to turn on the device in advance. Just press the measurement sensor to start the device if desired.
To measure the differences in thickness between some panels or to measure the amount of paint to be removed, press the RESET key before starting. This will load the factory settings.
To calibrate the Etari MD-666 follow this guide:
- Turn on the paint thickness gauge by pressing the sensor.
- Press and hold CAL until a beep sounds and 2-1 appears on the screen.
- Place the paint thickness gauge on one of the calibration plates you apply (ferrous or non-ferrous).
- 2 sounds when this is complete and 2-2 appears on the screen.
- Now place the plate with 102 μm on the round calibration plate and place the paint thickness gauge in the center.
- The device will emit another 2 beeps and 102μm will appear on the screen.
- Now do the same, but with the other round calibration plate.
