What are glazes?

LOTS OF GLOSS

Within the polishing process, GLAZE is certainly an optional step, but if you are looking for something capable of giving additional gloss and brilliance to the paint, both products are for you.

Glazes are polishes that release, once applied, particular oils, kaolin or other substances capable of masking minor defects in the bodywork and at the same time significantly increasing the brightness of the colours.

If combined with a sealant, it is advisable to apply the Glaze only after the sealant, in this way you will not lose in terms of protection and you will still obtain excellent results in terms of the vividness of the colours.

Glazes have very light protection compared to a sealant or wax, which is why we recommend always applying them after applying the latter and not before.

In case of medium swirls and scratches, glazes are not the optimal products to use and it would be advisable to use a high-performance All IN ONE polish .
Before using a glaze it is in any case recommended to wash and decontaminate with a clay bar  and polish, applying the glaze as finishing.

GLAZE: ALWAYS AND WILLINGLY.

Glazes can be used whenever it is deemed necessary to enhance the natural brilliance of a bodywork and make it shine with its own light; in fact it is not harmful or abrasive to surfaces, as it is a latest generation product with a nanopolymer component.
Excellent to apply at the end of a wash, when returning a vehicle or whenever you want to make a vehicle shine.
It is possible to apply them at the end of each wash, or it is recommended immediately after the polishing phase and necessarily after having decontaminated and washed the surface with clay bar .
Please remember that for an optimal effect, it would be a good idea to apply the glaze only after the sealants or wax and after waiting for the drying time.
In this way the sealing will be in direct contact with the bodywork, which will guarantee greater durability.

APPLICATION GUIDE: SIMPLE AND FAST.

The only pad we would recommend for applying a glaze with a polisher is a super soft finishing pad; however, thanks to its incredible formulation, a glaze can also be applied manually as it is easily workable and does not require single panel application.

Random orbital polisher.

  1. Choose the appropriate pad and center the pad.
  2. Apply three generous drops of product, forming a triangle at the end of the swab.
  3. Outline a work surface, preferably 60cm x 60cm in size.
  4. Turn the polisher on low speed (1) spreading the glaze over the entire area with a criss-cross motion.
  5. Continue distributing the glaze over the entire surface.
  6. Turn off the polisher once this step is completed.
  7. Remove excess product with a long-haired cloth such as or better defined as finishing microfibres .

Repeat all steps on the rest of the vehicle until you obtain an optimal result.

Manual application.

    1. Place two generous drops of product on the applicator as Micron App or Microfiber Applicator Pad
    2. Outline a work area measuring 60x60 cm: glazes are excellent products because they dry slowly and are easily removable, allowing you to work easily on even large surfaces.
    3. Spread evenly the glaze over the entire surface.
    4. Allow the product to penetrate slowly, using controlled, circular movements.
    5. Wait two minutes.
    6. Remove excess product with a long-haired cloth such as microfibre finishing .

Repeat the operation until the bodywork is completely treated.

NOTES AND TIPS.

  • With the glazes you will be able to significantly increase the brightness and shine of the bodywork and maintain its silky effect for a couple of washes.
  • The effect of glazes it is temporary, especially on small bodywork defects.
For this reason, to restore the surface of the bodywork in an excellent way we recommend following the instructions of
    our guide on polishing .
  • A glaze is ideal for masking only small imperfections in the bodywork.
