How to wash your car with the two or three buckets technique

HOW TO WASH THE CAR WITH THE TWO DRY TECHNIQUE

WASHING FREQUENCY.

We recommend washing once every 10 days.

INFORMATION ABOUT WATER.

It may seem obvious, but in the washing process one of the fundamental components is water.
Specifically, its mineral composition.
To check this aspect, try pouring some on a hood and check, once dried, if there are marked traces of limescale on the surface.
If this is the case, we advise you to equip yourself with a filtering system such as our water softener filter Acquatravel Wash , which will prevent these problems.

TRADITIONAL THREE BUCKET WASHING.

The three buckets method is one of the safest ways to take care of your car, also combined with other methods such as washing with foamer or rinseless.

  1. Carry out the pre-wash and, subsequently, prepare three buckets .
The first will be used for the shampoo , the second for rinsing the glove (for the upper part of the car) and the sponge (for the lower part) and the third it will be for circles only.
  2. Prepare the solution with water and shampoo in the quantities indicated in the illustrative booklet, mix. ( how to dilute a product )
  3. Immerse the glove in the bucket with shampoo.
  4. Starting from the top of the car and applying light pressure, pass the glove over the vehicle.
  5. If necessary, clean the glove in the rinsing bucket by rubbing it on a grid to remove as many impurities as possible.
  6. Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 until the entire vehicle has been washed.
  7. Carefully rinse the vehicle from top to bottom, possibly with a pressure washer at at least 160 Bar.
  8. Proceed to the next operations.

Recommendations:

  • Rinse the glove / sponge often, removing as much dirt as possible.
  • Be careful not to pick the bottom of the bucket with the sponge to avoid collecting the residues which could damage the surface. For this reason we recommend the use of buckets with grid on the bottom.
  • Always follow the instructions for use in the illustrative booklet.

WATER-VEIL TECHNIQUE.

The water veil technique, also called the "water cloth" technique, is based on the principle of creating a waterfall effect that drags the water present on the surface with it.
If done correctly, especially if on vehicles treated with sealant or wax, only a few traces will remain, which can be easily removed with a cloth .

HOW TO PERFORM THE WATER-VEIL TECHNIQUE.

Please note: the technique can be applied on a treated and thoroughly washed car.
It performs best on cars protected with wax and / or sealant .

  1. Bring a water pipe or a canopy without nebulizer.
  2. Starting from the top of the vehicle, rinse the water, from left to right, until it begins to descend from the edges. Starting from the top of the vehicle, rinse from left to right.
  3. Quickly lower the hose or watering can until it "catches" the falling water from the top of the vehicle, this time moving from right to left.
  4. Lower the tube again and continue in the opposite direction, moving from left to right
  5. Continue this technique until you have reached the underside of the vehicle.
  6. Finish drying the vehicle.
